About NEET-UG
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is India's single national-level medical entrance examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BVSc & AH, and other undergraduate medical and allied health science courses across government and private institutions. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET-UG is held once a year in offline (pen-and-paper) mode.
The examination consists of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology), carrying a total of 720 marks. Every correct answer awards 4 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. With over 20 lakh aspirants appearing every year, NEET-UG is one of India's most competitive entrance examinations.
